Two-time Emmy and Telly award-winning Carolyn Raskauskas has provided television audiences with informative and entertaining content through her sense of humor and collaborative spirit.

Carolyn is a FAA Certified Drone Pilot, producer, director, writer, and editor who thrives in deadline-oriented environments. She wants to play an active role in supporting her co-workers and contributing to the success of a project.  She is a self-motivated team player, whose resourcefulness, determination, and ability to think on her feet enable her to quickly adapt. Her positive attitude and her willingness to help allow her to work well with a variety of personalities. She is a meticulous organizer who thoughtfully prepares for the best, the worst, and everything in between.

As a creative problem-solver and detail-oriented multi-tasker, she has been responsible for creating packaged profiles, news features, live events with studio audiences, and live-to-tape television shows with multiple guests.

At Montgomery Community Media, her studio highlights include producing and directing a four-hour live election night special. The hybrid production featured four field teams, 15 in-studio on-camera talent, and a 40-member crew. The election night special followed years of producing and directing a weekly live-to-tape political opinion show.

Carolyn also produced and directed live remote events. The most complicated was The Epic Awards, a 3-hour award show with live performances in front of an audience of 250. She brings creativity to the news packages she produces and edits, such as her “Avengers” person-on-the-street video, for which she won a NATOA award. She has used her arts background to produce, edit, and shoot features for two local series, Montgomery Arts Infusion and Black Artists in Montgomery County. Her work on Montgomery Arts Infusion won her and her station their first Capital Emmy award. Her episode of Black Artists in Montgomery County earned her a Capital Emmy nomination, and the series won the award for “Outstanding Series”.

As a freelance producer, she has worked with national outlets, The Weather Channel and NowThis News. With The Weather Channel, she worked on live remote productions for America’s Morning Headquarters and Weather Underground in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and the Great American Eclipse in Carbondale, Illinois. Her work with NowThis News includes Maxine Waters’ State of the Union Event, Millennial Media Row, and Michelle Obama’s “Beating the Odds Summit.“

Her shelves are filled with her awards, including a Capital Emmy award, Capital Emmy nominations, 12 Telly awards, and a NATOA and an Alliance for Community Media award.
